Estimación de costos ambientales del funcionamiento del nuevo sistema teleférico de Mérida, Venezuela
Resumen
El objetivo del presente trabajo es estimar los costos ambientales del funcionamiento del nuevo Sistema Teleférico de Mérida aplicando el enfoque para la compensación de los impactos ambientales. Para ello, se recurrió al método de Experimentos de Elección en el cual se consideró la demanda por acceder al nuevo Teleférico de Mérida, entre otros atributos del Parque Nacional Sierra Nevada. Igualmente, algunas variables socioeconómicas como: género del entrevistado, edad, entre otras. El costo de oportunidad de visitar el teleférico bajo la premisa tradicional es 15,43 dólares mensuales por familia. En el caso de la visita bajo el nuevo paradigma de uso, 20,77 dólares mensuales por familia.
