La literatura china clásica confuciana, reglamentada por la ortodoxia oficial confuciana y sometida a una estricta valoración de los componentes ético-morales individuales y colectivos, es la base de la formación de las líneas maestras del pensamiento chino a lo largo de su historia. Cada obra, por separado, se refiere a algún aspecto vital, individual o social. Estos clásicos son, en consecuencia, los custodios de la autoridad que procede de los héroes-sabios arcaicos de carácter mítico, aunque con el tiempo adquirieron una función política al vincularse con las imágenes de los sabios reyes como ejemplos de gobierno bueno y virtuoso.

Abstract

The Confucian classical Chinese literature, regulated by the official Confucian orthodoxy and subject to a strict appraisal of its individual and collective ethical-moral components, is the starting point of the development of the broad outlines of Chinese thinking throughout its history. Each separate work refers to an aspect of life, individual or social. These classics are thus the custodians of an authority that derives from the ancient mythical hero-sages, though with the passing of time they took up a political role as they linked up with the images of the wise kings as examples of good and virtuous government.
