Restauraciones de resinas compuestas reforzadas con fibra. una elección biomimética.
Resumen
La restauración ideal de los dientes con lesiones del sector posterior, con resinas compuertas, ha sido amplia y controversial en la literatura. Factor esencial es lograr la estabilización de la integridad de la restauración dental, aumento de la cantidad de superficies adecuadas para la adhesión, evitar el riesgo de una falla biomecánica y, por lo tanto, lograr éxito a largo plazo. Sin embargo, algunas de las limitaciones de su función, como la contracción por polimerización bajo tensión y la microfiltración resultante, siguen siendo una preocupación importante. Además, la baja capacidad de carga dificulta su uso en restauraciones grandes que soportan estrés; por lo tanto, se deduce que existe una necesidad considerable de mejorar las propiedades mecánicas, conservando al mismo tiempo las propiedades estéticas. El objetivo de esta revisión narrativa es presentar una descripción general y brindar una comprensión detallada de un nuevo material recientemente recomendado para restaurar grandes cavidades bajo el enfoque biomimético: resinas compuestas reforzadas con fibras, como reemplazo de dentina, que tienen el potencial de mejorar sus propiedades mecánicas, sin afectar el grado de conversión.
