Diente fisurado, diagnóstico, etiología y factores predisponentes. Una revisión de alcance
Resumen
El diente fisurado es una afección dental bastante común, la falta de diagnóstico y tratamiento oportuno puede llevar a la pérdida del diente afectado. Debido a su prevalencia y relevancia clínica, el objetivo de esta revisión de alcance fue indagar sobre métodos de diagnósticos, etiología y factores predisponentes mediante una revisión de la literatura científica publicada en la década correspondiente a 2013 y 2023, y utilizando descriptores y palabras clave en inglés y español en diversas bases de datos electrónicas, como PubMed, BVS y Google Académico. Se seleccionaron estudios que cumplían con los criterios específicos establecidos, y posteriormente sometidos a un proceso de tres cribados. Se incluyeron nueve reportes de casos y ocho estudios observacionales. Los hallazgos revelaron que la etiología de los dientes fisurados es compleja y multifactorial, identificándose factores predisponentes a restauraciones previas, hábitos parafuncionales einterferencias oclusales. Se concluye que el éxito en el manejo de dientes fisurados depende de la implementación de métodos adecuados para un diagnóstico preciso, desde el examen clínico hasta la incorporación de la inteligencia artificial, considerando también la condición endodóntica, periodontal y la disposición de las líneas de fisura.
