Comparación de la precisión del color en dientes naturales mediante imágenes capturadas con cámaras Mirrorless de tres marcas empleando la técnica de polarización cruzada.
Resumen
La coincidencia precisa del color dental es un desafío en odontología restauradora. La subjetividad del método visual ha impulsado el desarrollo de técnicas digitales más objetivas, como la espectrofotometría y la fotografía profesional con polarización cruzada. Sin embargo, no se encontraron estudios comparativos entre cámaras mirrorless de uso comercial. Comparar la precisión del color en dientes naturales mediante imágenes capturadas con tres cámaras mirrorless (Canon R50, Nikon Z30 y Sony a6400), empleando la técnica de polarización cruzada, tomando como referencia un espectrofotómetro. Se evaluaron 27 participantes con incisivos centrales superiores sanos. Se realizaron tres lecturas espectrofotométricas por paciente y tres tomas fotográficas por cámara. Las imágenes fueron convertidas al sistema CIELab y se calcularon los valores ΔE para determinar la diferencia cromática. Se aplicaron el ANOVA de medidas repetidas, la prueba de Mauchly y pruebas post hoc. La cámara Sony a6400 presentó los valores de ΔE más cercanos al espectrofotómetro (ΔE = 2.82), dentro del umbral deaceptabilidad clínica (<3.2). Canon R50 y Nikon Z30 mostraron diferencias superiores, consideradas clínicamente inaceptables. La Sony a6400 demostró mayor precisión cromática en comparación con las otras cámaras evaluadas. Su uso, bajo protocolo estandarizado, representa una alternativa viable para la reproducción objetiva del color dental en contextos clínicos.
