Resumen
La amelogénesis imperfecta es una condición genética que afecta el esmalte dental, comprometiendo la estética y función. Su diagnóstico y tratamiento requieren un enfoque interdisciplinario. El tratamiento debe planificarse considerando el tipo de amelogénesis imperfecta, su gravedad y los hábitos de salud bucal del paciente. El presente artículo tiene como objetivo evaluar la evidencia disponible para determinar la efectividad de los tratamientos de rehabilitación bucal en pacientes con amelogénesis Imperfecta. Se realizó una revisión sistemática siguiendo el protocolo PRISMA, registrada en PROSPERO. La búsqueda englobó estudios clínicos publicados entre 2015 y 2025, en bases de datos como Google Scholar, Pubmed y Scopus, en inglés y español, que evaluaran tratamientos rehabilitadores con seguimiento mayor a 2 años. Para la evaluación metodológica se utilizaron herramientas como MINORS y la evaluación del riesgo de sesgo según la herramienta de la Colaboración Cochrane. De los 374 artículos identificados en la búsqueda inicial, cuatro artículos cumplieron con todos los criterios de inclusión. Los resultados reportaron tasas de supervivencia de 99,6% en la rehabilitación con coronas cerámicas, por lo que tienen mayor longevidad y estética. Las restauraciones indirectas cerámicas son más efectivas en términos de longevidad, estética, estabilidad de color en comparación con las restauraciones directas en resina compuesta, Por consiguiente, las restauraciones de cerámica podrían considerarse la modalidad de tratamiento restaurador de elección para pacientes afectados por amelogénesis imperfecta.
