Manejo actual de lesiones caries profundas en dientes primarios mediante las técnicas de mínima intervención. Revisión bibliográfica

Resumen


Introducción: La caries dental y su aparición en la primera infancia es una de las enfermedades con mayor incidencia en la actualidad; tanto a nivel global como nacional, trayendo como consecuencia la pérdida temprana y progresiva de la dentición primaria. Recientemente, se han incorporado nuevos principios sobre el manejo de lesiones caries profundas, a través de la incorporación de las técnicas de mínima intervención, que coadyuvan en el control de las lesiones caries minimizando la realización de tratamientos invasivos. En tal sentido, se realizó una investigación documental y explicativa, basada en una metodología enfocada en una revisión bibliográfica. Objetivo: Recopilar información actualizada sobre el manejo de las lesiones por caries profundas en dientes primarios, en este contexto, se profundizó en la aplicación de las técnicas de mínima invasión. Métodos: El proceso de búsqueda se efectuó en las bases de datos, Scielo, PubMed, Elsevier y Google Académico Resultados: un total de 48 artículos fueron seleccionados para su lectura y análisis crítico Conclusiones: Actualmente, la Odontología se ha centrado en mantener la vitalidad pulpar de los dientes primarios hasta su reabsorción fisiológica; en consecuencia, la odontología mínimamente invasiva se ha convertido recientemente en un novedoso conjunto de técnicas para el manejo de lesiones caries profundas, desarrollando técnicas como la Técnica Restauradora Atraumática, utilización del fluoruro de amino de plata, Técnica restauradora atraumática modificada con fluoruro de amino de plata y técnica de Hall , que han demostrado altas tasas de éxito en el manejo de dichas lesiones; minimizando los tratamientos endodónticos
