Análisis de los métodos de cálculo del costo de producción de papa. Municipio Rangel del estado Mérida

Resumen

Debido a los beneficios que ofrece, la papa es uno de los principales cultivos del mundo. Particularmente, en Venezuela la producción anual de este tubérculo supera las trescientas mil toneladas, siendo el estado Mérida el que aporta la mayor cantidad de producción. A pesar de esto, en el municipio Rangel los productores no calculan de forma adecuada el costo de producción y se conoce además que existen entes vinculados con la producción de este rubro que realizan por su cuenta cálculos del mismo. De acuerdo con esta información se planteó como objetivo analizar los métodos de cálculo del costo de producción de papa granola y papa color utilizados en el municipio Rangel de este estado durante el año 2005. Para el logro de este objetivo, la presente investigación fue de tipo evaluativa, bajo un diseño tanto documental como de campo, se aplicaron los instrumentos: ficha bibliográfica, guión de observación y guión de entrevista estructurada dirigida a productores y entes vinculados. Luego del análisis de la información recabada se observó que el Ministerio de Agricultura y Tierras es el único ente que realiza cálculos del costo de producción por variedades de papa y para cada ciclo de producción bajo la premisa de costeo por absorción o total, utilizando estándares para las cantidades y los precios. Por su parte, los pocos productores que calculan el costo de producción lo hacen de forma empírica, e igualmente por ciclo de producción y variedades de papa. Sin embargo, no incluyen algunas partidas de costos y lo hacen bajo la premisa del costeo por absorción.

Abstrac
Analysis of methods for calculating the cost of potato production in the municipality Rangel of Merida State 2005

Potato is one of the main crops of the world, due to the benefits it offers. In Venezuela, the annual production of this tuber exceeds 300,000 tons, being Merida State the city which provides the major amount of its production. In spite of this, at the Rangel Municipality farmers miscalculate the cost-of-production properly and there are also some other entities linked to this production that calculate their own cost-of-production by themselves. According to this information, the purpose of this research was to assess the calculation methods in the cost-of-production of granola potato and colour potato, used at the Rangel Municipality of this State during 2005. To do this, an evaluative research was performed, designed under documentary and field criteria. A Bibliographic card, an observation outline and an interview script was structured and applied as the study instrument, adressed to farmers and related entities. After the analysis of the collected information, it was shown that the Ministry of Agriculture and Land is the only organization that performs calculation of cost-of-production, according to the variety of potatoes and the production cycle by the premise of absortion or total cost, using standard criteria for quantities and prices. On the other hand, few farmers calculate the cost-of-production empirically, as well as the production cycle and varieties of potatoes. However, they do not include some cost entries and they just do it under the premise of absortion cost
