El turismo receptivo del estado Mérida en cifras

Resumen

El estado Mérida, sin duda alguna, es el principal destino de montaña venezolano para turistas nacionales y extranjeros,
debido a  sus  innumerables  atractivos  naturales  y  su  infraestructura  de  servicios. La  actividad  turística  en  este  estado está concentrada en el Municipio Libertador. Un requisito indispensable, frente a cualquier intento por planifcar y evaluar
la  diversifcación  y/o  ampliación  de  la  actividad  turística  regional,  es  la  revisión  y  análisis minucioso  de  las  principales características y comportamientos del turismo receptivo. En consecuencia, el presente trabajo intenta recopilar y presentar algunas cifras  registradas durante  los últimos años por el principal organismo ofcial en materia de  turismo en el estado Mérida,  la Corporación Merideña de Turismo  (CORMETUR), con el propósito de contribuir con  la planifcación y control coherente de tan importante destino turístico.

Abstrac

The receptive tourism of Mérida state in figures

Without a doubt, Mérida State is the main Venezuelan mountain destination for national and foreign tourists, due to their
natural attractiveness and their services infrastructure. The tourist activity in this State is concentrated on Liberator Municipality.
An indispensable requirement, in front of any intent of planning and evaluate the diversifcation and/or amplifcation of the
regional tourist activity, is the meticulous revision and analysis of the main characteristic and behaviors of the receptive
tourism. In consequence, the present work is intent to compile and present some registered fgures during the last years by
the main offcial tourism organism in Mérida State (CORMETUR), in order to contribute to the planning and coherent control
of such important tourist destination.
