El presente ensayo tiene por objetivo analizar la historia de las relaciones de la República Socialista de Vietnam con los países del Sudeste Asiático agrupados en la ASEAN desde 1991, año en que empezó el acercamiento entre ambos actores, hasta 2021, periodo en el cual el mencionado país realizó varias contribuciones para fortalecer el proceso de integración de la asociación
