La Alianza Bolivariana para las Américas (ALBA): ¿Nueva arena de enfrentamiento geopolítico en las Américas?
Resumen
El ALBA es un proyecto de integración supranacional que se propone como un mecanismo para reducir la competencia económica entre sus miembros y fomentar la cooperación y las sinergias desde valores socialistas y de solidaridad. Y todo esto como expresión de una encrucijada ideológica donde se mezclan las corrientes del pensamiento social de izquierda con un pan-nacionalismo latinoamericano. El ALBA se encuentra en medio de una confrontación ideológica de escala continental que sesga enormemente la objetividad de los análisis. Este artículo analiza las líneas maestras de dicha confrontación, y trata de deslindar algunos de dichos sesgos.
Abstract
The Alba is an original supranational project driven by politics and aimed at reducing the market concurrence and at fostering cooperation and synergies among its members from the standpoint of a political ideology that combines the last currents of leftist social thought with a Latin American pan-nationalism. The ALBA and its member states are in the midst of a geopolitical and ideological confrontation at a continental scale that strongly biases any possible analysis. This paper aims at lying out the blueprint of that confrontation attempting to establish a non-biased approach to the issue.
