Efecto del gel de aceite ozonizado y fotobiomodulación en la cicatrización alveolar postexodoncia. Ensayo clínico aleatorizado

INTRODUCCIÓN: La cicatrización postexodoncia puede beneficiarse de agentes bioestimulantes como el ozono y la fotobiomodulación (FBM). OBJETIVO: Evaluar el efecto del gel de aceite ozonizado tópico solo o combinado con fotobiomodulación (FBM) mediante láser de diodo (940 nm) sobre la cicatrización alveolar tras exodoncias dentarias. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: Ensayo clínico aleatorizado con 60 pacientes (19-60 años) distribuidos en tres grupos (n=20): Grupo I (control con manejo quirúrgico convencional sin terapia coadyuvante), Grupo II (ozono), Grupo III (ozono + FBM). La cicatrización se evaluó con el Índice de Landry a los 7 y 15 días. RESULTADOS: El Grupo III mostró una cicatrización significativamente superior, alcanzando 17 casos de tejido normal (85%) y 19 casos de calificación “Excelente” (95%) a los 15 días. El Grupo II alcanzó 10 casos de tejido normal (50%) y 6 casos “Excelente” (30%), mientras que el Grupo I presentó 8 casos (40%) y 4 casos (20%) respectivamente (p < 0,001). El Grupo III fue el único sin sangrado ni eritema a los 7 días y logró cierre completo del borde mesial-distal (100%) a los 15 días. No se reportaron efectos adversos. CONCLUSIONES: Los hallazgos preliminares sugieren que la combinación de ozono tópico con FBM (940 nm) acelera significativamente la cicatrización alveolar, reduce la inflamación y logra un cierre completo de bordes, presentándose como una estrategia no farmacológica segura y eficaz bajo las condiciones metodológicas empleadas.
