Desafíos y estrategias de directores de escuela primaria en su primer año de gestión: cuatro estudios de caso

Resumen


Este estudio tuvo como objetivo examinar los principales desafíos que enfrentan los nuevos
directores en las escuelas primarias del estado de Yucatán, México y las estrategias para
afrontarlos. Con un diseño cualitativo de cuatro estudios de caso se examinan las
experiencias de directores principiantes de primaria. Los resultados indican que los
directores principiantes no cuentan con alguien que comparta su conocimiento cuando se
incorporan a su nuevo puesto de trabajo. Su falta de preparación dificulta la adaptación
para ellos, ya que su experiencia es como docentes, y carecen en su mayoría de una formación
y trayectoria en administración escolar. Al abordar estos cambios, los directores utilizaron
diferentes estrategias aprendidas por la experiencia. Los resultados son consistentes con
las investigaciones previas.
