Comparative study of the dehydration of emulsions water in oil (w /o) in medium and heavy oil crude using extracts of leafs of berry and pine bark
The objective of the present investigation is evaluating the behavior of the berry and pine extract in breaking emulsions w/o of medium and heavy crude oil. The procedure consisted in getting the extracts from berry sheets and pine bark for extraction liquid-solid using like solvent ethanol, next are prepared synthetic emulsions with relation o:w of 85:15, 70:30 and 50:50 for the crude Rosa Mediano and Merey. The technique of determination of water and sediment for centrifugation was used to evaluate the efficiency of separation of water to different concentrations of formulated. The results of this experience yielded the following; the berry and pine extracts have different behavior to destabilize emulsions w/o of the crude. The berry extract works adequately for the crude Rosa Mediano, while, the extract of pine favors the breaking of emulsions w/o of the crude heavy Merey. It is finally from noticing that the synergy of the alcohol like agent extracting helps to improve the crude Rosa Mediano and Merey dehydration
